Iowa 80 Truckstop is currently seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to join our Management Team. Duties include being friendly and helpful to customers, inventory management, ensuring high employee morale and maintaining a fun, clean, and safe place to work! The Assistant Manager is required to work a flexible schedule with varying hours that may include some holidays and weekends. All members of the Iowa 80 Management Team always maintain a professional attitude and work with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting Iowa 80's mission, to be “A Place Where People Want to Stop.” Responsibilities: Creates quotes/estimates quickly and accurately for customer Write up work orders Utilization of multiple operating systems at the same time Works with the team on inventory issues, raises awareness of sales trends. Locates parts for customers that may not be in inventory Travel to nearby locations to pick up parts. Communication with vendors Proactive about learning new information and new products within the shop. Works well in a team environment Requirements Must be somewhat mechanically inclined Must have a sense of urgency, be self-motivated, and friendly Experience in managing people with the ability to lead others to success! Experience conducting product inventories Excellent organizational skills Diesel Mechanic experience is a plus but is not required Must have a valid driver's license and meet company insurance requirements Benefits Paid EVERY Friday!
