CENTRE FOR INNOVATIVE SERVICE-LEARNING Assistant Manager (Service-Learning ) (25260629) The Centre for Innovative Service-Learning (CISL) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is dedicated to developing and implementing impactful credit-bearing service-learning courses and co-curricular social innovation initiatives. Our core focus in academic service-learning is to create meaningful learning opportunities that inspire students to translate knowledge and empathy into actions that address genuine community needs. CISL also manages HKBU’s first co-working space called TriAngle, which serves as a vibrant hub for creative minds to converge, network and make a positive impact through creativity, interactivity and collaboration. By engaging in service-learning and social innovation, we strive to provide students with the best student experience that fosters holistic development, cultivates a strong sense of social engagement, and empowers students with a profound sense of purpose. CISL is seeking a well-rounded, responsive and diligent individual to advance CISL’s service-learning initiatives.  Responsibilities: * Support the Manager to plan and deliver service-learning courses and projects, including cross-institutional projects and communication with course instructors, community partners, students and collaborators for project activities;  * Manage the day-to-day administration of the Service-Learning Grant, including application and review cycles, reviewers and the coordination of grant-related financial processes;  * Design and deliver promotional and professional development events to elevate CISL’s presence and advance service-learning across and beyond HKBU;  * Coordinate, author and coordinate compilation of reports, guidelines and frameworks to support CISL operations and ensure clarity and consistency for diverse audiences including donors and external stakeholders; and  * Perform any other duties as assigned. The above key areas may change in light of the fast development of the university and evolving societal needs. Occasional travelling to the mainland and overseas may be required for course inspection and partnership building purposes. Requirements: * Embody our values and is passionate about transforming lives through service-learning and social innovation;  * A University degree or above, preferably with at least 4-5 years of relevant work experience in higher education or non-profit sector, or a related field; * Demonstrated experience in academic service-learning and/or experiential learning, including planning, implementation and evaluation, will be a definite advantage; * Prior supervisory experience and an excellent team player and self-starter who is mature and detail-minded, and responsive with an ability to think creatively and problem-solve;  * Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills in both English and Chinese spoken and writing skills; * Proficiency in IT/MS Office, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint; * Open-mindedness towards emerging technologies, including generative AI; and * Experience with graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) will be an advantage. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years.  Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager will support the Manager in planning and delivering service-learning courses and projects, including communication with various stakeholders. They will also manage the administration of the Service-Learning Grant and design promotional events to enhance CISL's presence.
