We’re looking for an Assistant Manager / Sommelier to join our award-winning team at etch. by Steven Edwards. This is a hands-on role combining restaurant management with wine expertise, perfect for someone who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in fine dining, and wants to develop both leadership and sommelier skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant.
  • Lead and motivate the FOH team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
  • Champion our wine programme: guiding guests through our wine list, recommending pairings, and supporting the Wine Director with training.
  • Meet and greet guests, ensuring a seamless journey from booking to re-booking.
  • Oversee reservations, dietary requirements, and VIP service.
  • Assist with rotas, recruitment, and training to build a high-performing team.
  • Contribute to profitability through upselling, wine pairings, and service innovation.
  • Maintain the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness, and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional and consistent dining experience.
