SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (require).
  • Previous hospitality or food retail leadership experience
  • Strong people management and communication skills.

  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace health standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of Spotted Cod. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, maintain high standards of food quality and customer service, and ensure smooth, efficient service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Support and lead team members, providing training, guidance, and motivation.
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
  • Assist with rostering, timesheets, and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Uphold health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Step in for the Manager when required, ensuring the store runs smoothly.
