Job Description

The Store Assistant Manager position is very critical to the success of Starbucks. This position handles the responsibility for the efficient and profitable operation of the store. Store Managers are expected to ensure that the “Service Experience” of Starbucks is consistently offered to all the customers as well as maintaining the quality store operations, maximizing financial contribution, and all store partners are being empowered and directed in a very positive manner.

  • Supervise store operations and coach team to constantly deliver the Starbucks “Service Experience” for each customer
  • Provide an excellent customer service and when needed customer service recovery
  • Ensure cash handling and register function performed accurately and consistently
  • Assist with scheduling and hiring
  • Assist with ordering and inventory to ensure supplies, materials and merchandise are suitably stocked
  • Convey new product information and set store for promotions
  • Train the trainer
  • Follow brand standards

Qualifications

  • Starbucks/ Barista experience an asset
  • Retail supervision with experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Experience with management in an unionized environment
  • Bilingual: French-English
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Available to work various shifts: morning, evening, week-ends
