Central Washington University is recruiting an Assistant Manager Student Union Dining Operations to join our Dining Services team in Ellensburg, Washington. This role is an important member of our team as they enhance the vision for the University. The role is a campus-based position, which means you get to see the lives you are impacting. We’re offering a salary, depending on experience, from $45,303 -
$63,424
annually plus the awesome CWU benefits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three years of management experience in the food service industry.
  • Demonstrated ability and/or experience working with students and/or co-workers from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and experiences.
  • OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in an area of college or university food service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience in active leadership including front of house and back of house staff development and coaching.
  • Demonstrated participation in programs designed to promote student success.
  • Life experiences that demonstrate an ability to contribute to CWU’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for students through various activities.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

This position assists in providing leadership, direction, training, and customer service standards to all levels of staffing that support a Dining Operation. This position is a key partner with building staff and student groups in providing programmatic support. The diverse customer needs require a variety of cuisines and convenience foods, requiring that the incumbent have a broad understanding of many cuisines and types of operations. The Assistant Manager will be assigned to Student Union Operations.
