About the Role Working as part of a collaborative team, this role delivers a broad range of IT audit activities across the audit lifecycle, including planning, testing, review, and reporting. You will take a lead role on engagements, manage work in progress, support the development of junior team members, and contribute to other assurance engagements alongside financial statement audit teams. About The Team We are a specialist team within BDO’s Audit practice, using technology‑enabled and data‑driven approaches to enhance audit quality and efficiency and support engagement teams across the audit lifecycle. Duties and Responsibilities Apply the BDO Audit approach in relation to IT General Controls (ITGCs) Assess the risk and complexity of clients’ IT environments Review technology processes to evaluate control adequacy, efficiency, and compliance Test the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of ITGCs and IT Application Controls Communicate IT risks and control issues clearly, linking findings to business processes and audit impacts Develop practical, value added recommendations to address identified risks Provide guidance and support to junior IS auditors Deliver IT audit work in line with BDO Technical Manuals Technical Competencies Strong understanding of IT and IS audit concepts and the BDO Audit approach Experience supporting financial statement audits through IT risk assessment and control testing Ability to design and perform D&I and tests of controls for ITGCs Ability to identify links between business processes and supporting IT systems Strong analytical and communication skills to assess IT related risks and audit implications Awareness of current and emerging technology trends and their audit impact Qualifications and Experience required Graduate degree /certification in IT Auditing Extensive experience in IT Risk Assurance Knowledge of data analytics tools and ERP applications Broad range of client experience Why BDO?
