ASSISTANT MANAGER – TYRE FITTING CENTRE

Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for a proactive and hands-on Assistant Manager to join our busy tyre fitting team in Canterbury. This role is ideal for someone with tyre fitting experience who is currently an assistant manager and looking for a new challenge with a trusted local business.
This is a full-time position, working five days a week. You’ll have one day off during the week on a two-week rota, with alternate Saturdays worked.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Centre Manager in the operation and daily running of the depot
  • Standing in for the Office Manager when required, overseeing administrative functions, handling queries, and ensuring the smooth running of the front office
  • Carry out tyre fitting, balancing, repairs, and related services to a high standard
  • Responsible for opening and closing the premises, including securing the site, and managing end-of-day cashing up procedures accurately and securely
  • Lead by example to ensure excellent customer service and workshop efficiency
  • Supervise and support team members, including training new staff
  • Help manage stock levels, workshop organisation, and health & safety compliance
  • Assist with administration, processing sales, invoicing, and answering customer queries
