Description
Identify and evaluate potential vendors based on quality, capacity, capability , pricing, and reliability.Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors.Develop vendors for new parts, processes, or improved performance through training and support.Having market knowledge to track the RM trends with detail data.Strong in commercial and negotiation with good skills ZBC Analyse cost drivers and identify areas for VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering),Alternate sourcing, second sourcing ,Risk mitigation and cost reduction.Perform cost analysis and benchmarking to identify savings opportunities.Work closely with Procurement, Quality, R&D, Production, and Finance teams to align vendor activities with business goals.Ensure smooth communication flow and resolution of issues across departments.Maintain accurate vendor reports/Project tracker, contracts, and performance reportsDrive vendor development for new components—support NPD (New Product Development) and ECN (Engineering Change Notes).Monitor and guide the development of moulds, dies, patterns, and jigs/fixtures.Monitor adherence to quality standards, including dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and functionality.Coordinate with Quality and Engineering teams to ensure vendor compliance with technical specs and quality standards.Lead supplier consolidation and rationalization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen strategic relationships. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation and communication skills with ZBC knowledgeTechnical understanding of products and manufacturing processesKnowledge of quality systems ( PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 8D, SPC etc.)Knowledge of Excel ,BI, Power point  Technical Competencies : (As per requirement ) Have detailed knowledge of plastic injection moulding, Compression moulding , die-cast (HPDC ,LPDC, GDC,SC,SG-CI), Forging- Hot & Cold, and machining .Plastic injection moulding (material selection, tool design, mould flow, defects, etc.)Casting processes (pressure die casting, sand casting, gravity die casting, etc.)Machining operations (CNC turning, milling, grinding, tolerance control, etc.)Excellent reading of engineering drawings and GD&TFamiliarity with quality tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 8D, SPC)Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
