SUMMARY OF THE JOB: (PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE JOB)

  • A supporting role to Supply Chain in logistics management to oversee

the organization and monitoring storage and distribution of goods.

  • The goal is to create policies or procedures for logistics activities for

monitoring flow of materials and performance to meet production
requirements and ensure sustainability of customer satisfaction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistic/ Warehousing/Supply Chain or its

equivalent

  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in Electro-Mechanical field /

Manufacturing Environment

  • Preferably Managers specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or

equivalent.

  • More than 2 year warehouse supervisory management for Assistant

Manager position and more than 8 years supervisory for Manager

position

  • A self-starter, motivated and able to positively motivate others can-do

attitude

  • Excellent leadership, team player, man-management skills and follow

up skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint & project

management, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Responsibilities
  • Plan and maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer

service logs, or training or safety records.

  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems,

imports or exports, or customer issues

  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for

product transit or delivery

  • Direct warehouse operation at various Business units/ sites to ensure

achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives

  • Negotiate transportation rates or services
  • Supervise the work of all logistics and warehouse staff
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business

systems or processes, such as customer sales, order

  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as

routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers

  • Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance or logistics quality management
  • Drive and implement continuous improvement programs on

warehouse layout and goods receiving/issuing to improve productivity
to support the dynamic of business units production/ manufacturing

processes and Quality department

  • Direct or coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical

functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution

  • Communicate freight transportation information to customers or

suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics

  • Accountable for customer complaints to resolve logistics related

complaints and non-conformance claims

  • Ensure safety of warehouse staff and escalate to superior timely for

any major escalation

  • Maintain KPIs and present to the management
  • Perform task as and when assigned.
