Opal ANZ is an industry-leading paper and packaging business. We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest packaging companies in Australia as our Thomastown site is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to come onboard!

The key focus of this role will be to:

  • Be responsible for the inbound warehousing function & associated areas (including inventory)
  • Train, manage, support and provide leadership to the team
  • Develop and implement inventory control systems and practices
  • Support the warehouse team with daily activities where required to maintain a safe an efficient environment
  • Play a key role in the setting and oversight of KPI’s and processes
  • Monitor the utilization of warehouse assets to ensure optimal utilization and cost are controlled
  • Managing changes/ variables to production and ensuring inventory accuracy is upheld
  • Ensuring systems and stakeholders are up-to-date
  • Support regular logistics providers/ 3PLs performance reviews through specific KPIs
Responsibilities

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

  • Experience in utilizing ERP systems is required (SAP experience would be highly regarded)
  • A current LF Forklift licence (is required)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
  • Experience in leading teams in day-to-day operations and inventory management
  • Strong communication skills and ability influence others
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to work in an agile environment
