Alma Wine Bar & Shop is a Latina-owned wine bar, bottle shop, and gallery space celebrating wines with soul. Our wines are made with grapes grown with sustainable and regenerative practices. We only carry wines made by independent producers, so our guests’ dollars go to a family or individual winemaker. We celebrate diversity in wine and are intentional about highlighting winemakers of color, women, and LGBTQ+ winemakers.
We are looking for a creative and bright person who is passionate about wine, has a natural sense of hospitality, works well independently, and is reliable.
We are a very small team, so you will be working directly with our owner. You will be responsible for managing our weekend shifts and some weekday shifts, and assisting with managerial and administrative duties. Ideally, you will be available four days per week.
Position Responsibilities:
· Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the wine bar and shop
· Help create an excellent guest experience
· Work with the owner to create and manage our wine club
· Assist with marketing, social media, and organizing events
Requirements:
· Experience in hospitality, customer service, food and beverage, or events
· Strong work ethic
· Ability to anticipate needs
· Attention to detail
· Computer literacy
· Wine experience or knowledge is a plus
· At least a basic knowledge of Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift cand carry up to 50 pounds
· Ability to stand / walk for long periods of time
Compensation:
· $19-22 hourly based on experience with room for growth, plus tips, wine club commission, and employee discounts
