Description

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) to join our Children and Young Persons Intake team; to provide front-line support for children and families reaching out to Jami for support. This key role involves triaging referrals, signposting to external services, undertaking needs-led assessments, and delivering short-term interventions.

ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for someone with a passion for mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an AMHP within the CYP Intake Team, you will be a key contact for individuals seeking advice and support, as well as the first point of contact for those interested in Jami services. You will conduct needs-led assessments for entry into Jami services, occasionally delivering short-term interventions where our 1-1 support is less appropriate. Working within the intake team, you will also support the development of the service directory, our signposting document and support the growth of partnerships with other organisations. As networking is at the heart of this role, there will also be opportunities to attend the intake forum alongside those in a similar position in our partner charities.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with Jami’s multi-disciplinary team to deliver integrated mental health services.
  • To maintain up to date and accurate electronic records as required by existing policies using Jami’s cloud-based contact management system
  • Use appropriate assessment tools such as review forms, SWEMWBS and IROC to evaluate caseload support.
  • Work efficiently and sometimes independently on Microsoft outlook platforms programmes.
  • To work virtually with video conferencing, zoom and Microsoft teams
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR, and other organisational policies.
  • Participate in supervision, appraisal, and continuous professional development.
  • To take responsibility to maintain own personal development and keep up to date with current knowledge and legislative changes through reading, attending study days, conferences, and meetings as appropriate in accordance with the requirements for continued professional development in line with your professional body and role requirements.
  • Ensure that all activities are operated consistent with the values of Jami at Jewish Care and the Jewish Community with which you serve.
  • Carry out any other necessary duties or tasks as requested by your line manager or another designated senior manager.
