Description Quaker Valley Foods is seeking an experienced Assistant Night Shift Warehouse Manager to help lead our night operations. Optimize manpower utilization by effectively monitoring and managing the workforce. Assisting with Safety Compliance to ensure all employees adhere to safety rules, leading by example to maintain a cohesive work environment. Assign, direct, and review the work of supervisory staff for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Assist with Daily Operations and overseeing selection, cubing, loading operations and related activities. Assist and Manage loading dock area to ensure dispatch and departures including pallets being safely stacked and wrapped to ensure driver safety and customer satisfaction. Notify the transportation department of any delays impacting scheduled delivery times. Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to formulate plans to address operational challenges. Create and prepare necessary reports for management. Ensure the building and equipment are well maintained, including the condition of the facility during and after the shift is completed. Effectively communicate with the Director of Operations, Transportation Department, Inventory Control, and Day Warehouse supervisors regarding any operational issues. Enforce company work rules, policies, and compliance with union contracts. Requirements Approach all responsibilities with urgency. Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen temperatures for extended periods of time. Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience managing in a Union environment. Five years of experience in refrigerated food or related distribution operations preferred. Ability to lead, motivate, and coach employees to achieve high productivity. Must effectively communicate with all departments and provide clear instructions and plans to close gaps as needed. Prioritize safety in all operations. Willingness to train in other departments for future growth. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively. Good interpersonal skills to communicate with a diverse group of employees and managers. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, Excel, Power Enterprise WMS and related WMS systems.
