We’re seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day coordination of our growing Veterinary Nursing team.
This is a permanent part-time role (approximately 30 hours per week) and is ideal for an experienced nurse or team leader looking to step into a supportive leadership position.

What does a day in the life look like?

  • Work closely with the Nurse Manager to support and guide the nursing team so they love and thrive in their roles
  • Assist with coordinating rosters and ensuring adequate staffing levels
  • Help implement and promote company policies and a positive team culture
  • Assist in managing workplace issues, conflict resolution, and team wellbeing initiatives
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new nurses
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including Workplace Health & Safety requirements
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement and help drive team engagement

About You

  • Previous experience in a veterinary nursing leadership or senior nursing role
  • Veterinary Nursing qualifications
  • A supportive leadership style, with the ability to motivate and mentor others
  • Thrives on delivering exceptional patient and client care
  • Strong communication skills, especially in high-pressure situations
  • High attention to detail with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Flexible to work afterhours shifts when needed
