Assistant Nurse Manager Inpatient Units Full Time Days Position Summary:
Coordinates care of the patient within a specialty in accordance with the objectives of the Inpatient departments. Has authority to make decisions necessary to effectively carry out the nursing care activities of his/her designated unit including performance/counseling of assigned personnel. Assumes responsibility for coordinating educational teaching and in-service programs for personnel. The ANM is the primary coach and mentor for the assigned unit; the designee to proactively audit and inspect and correct. Responsible for staff competence and the practices performed in the provision and coordination of safe and effective individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process and adherence to facility and regulatory guidelines. Plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services in conjunction with the Director. Uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish objectives. Supports all activities according to policy and procedures, philosophy, goals, and mission statement of Hilton Head Regional Health Care.
Assistant Nurse Manager Inpatient Units Full Time Days Position Requirements:

EDUCATION:

  1. Must have South Carolina Registered Nurse license or multistate licensure from another Compact State within the prescribed guidelines of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
  2. BSN preferred.
    Experience: 1. At least minimum of 2-3 years of demonstrated Charge Nurse or supervisory skills required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current BLS (American Heart Association certification only) certification required.
  2. Current ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
  3. Current NIHSS (Stroked Certified ) certification required.
  4. Current South Carolina State Board of Nursing unrestricted license or multi-state license from another Compact State within the prescribed guidelines of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
