Deputy Nursery Manager Position
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, dedicated and inspirational deputy nursery manager to lead our team at our amazing Churt Nursery School.
Dottie Tots is a small, family-owned and managed group of nurseries, and we are looking for an outstanding and experienced manager to join our friendly team at our Churt location. The successful candidate will help develop and enhance the business, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to our overall leadership team as they support and collaborate with other managers and deputies across our settings.

Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To work with the nursery manager to lead and inspire the nursery team.
In the absence of the nursery manager, the deputy manager will undertake the overall day-to-day management of the nursery.
To deliver the highest quality of care by creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing child-centred environment that meets the educational and developmental needs of each child.
To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for all children in our nursery. This includes ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and development of our provision.
You will have a proven track record of establishing strong working partnerships with parents in your current or previous setting.

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the nursery manager to develop and manage the operational framework and standards to ensure the nursery always operates smoothly.
Supporting the nursery manager to maintain the necessary standards, ratios, and conditions of registration consistently.
Serving as the Designated Safeguarding Lead when the nursery manager is absent and ensuring adherence to the nursery’s safeguarding procedures and undertake regular training to fulfil the requirements of the DSL role. A separate job description for this role will be given.
Ensuring the highest standards of safety and security within the nursery.
To support the nursery manager to establish appropriate emergency procedures.
To support the nursery manager with all health and safety matters within the nursery.
Always Ensuring compliance with the nursery’s health and safety policy and procedures.
