Description

We’re looking for a hands-on, adaptable Assistant Operations Manager to support daily production and fulfilment, while assisting in ongoing transformation efforts. You will support the Operations Manager in overseeing kitchen, packing, and logistics operations. This is a ground-level role focused on smooth daily execution, team supervision, and maintaining production standards.
The role also involves assisting in automation, system rollouts, and basic data handling as part of BOM BOM’s broader transformation journey. If you are passionate about people, pets, and premium service, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we’d love to have you on our team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Diploma in Operations Management, Supply chain, Logistics, Food Technology, or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in operations, preferably in the F&B, food production, or logistics sector.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; able to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Comfortable with physical work environments (e.g. kitchen, cold room, delivery bay).
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with inventory or fulfilment systems is a plus; willingness to learn new systems and tools.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred to communicate effectively with ground staff and suppliers.
Responsibilities
  1. Operational
  • Support daily operations across kitchen production, packing, logistics and fulfilment.
  • Supervise and coordinate manpower schedules, ensuring sufficient coverage and optimal productivity.
  • Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory; liaise with procurement and suppliers where needed.
  • Ensure production output and delivery timelines are met without compromising quality or food safety standards.
  • Conduct on-site checks and provide timely updates to the Operations Manager on key issues or disruptions.
  • Assist in onboarding, training, and supervising operational staff to ensure SOP compliance and workplace discipline.
  • Troubleshoot operational problems in real time and coordinate swift resolution across teams.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and digital tools for tracking, automation and reporting.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and safety protocols are upheld in the kitchen and logistics areas.
  1. Transformation Support
  • Assist in the implementation of new machines, equipment or digital systems for production and fulfilment processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams during testing, training, and rollouts.
  • Provide feedback from the ground team to help improve processes.
  1. Data & Process Improvement Support
  • Assist with basic data entry, tracking, and reporting using Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Help collect and organise operations data to support planning and decision-making.
  • Work closely with the Ops Manager to identify and support small-scale process improvements.
