POSITION OVERVIEW: The Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) plays an integral role in the overall success of their branch location. The AOM assists the Operations Manager with ensuring the installation department operations smoothly and projects move forward with the quality and service expected of Empower Home Services. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: · The AOM assists the OM with supporting and training the Installation Crews o The AOM assists with reviewing and preparing outgoing installations o The AOM completes site visits to ensure installations are meeting company quality and safety standards · The AOM reviews completed jobs from the previous day’s install work o The AOM updates and closes the calendar for each project o The AOM uploads job notes to the CRM o The AOM assists with ensuring all required items are completed for the funding department to be able to submit the projects for payment · The AOM assists the Fleet Coordinator with managing the local vehicle fleet · The AOM holds weekly Safety Meetings with Field Staff · The AOM attends scheduled meetings with Management and other departments as necessary · The AOM coordinates with Warehouse staff and Management regarding Job Materials · The AOM attends all applicable training as required · The AOM performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: · The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of NEC codes with an emphasis on residential PV Installations · The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Solar or Electrical field · The successful candidate will have previous leadership experience in the industry · OSHA 10/30 Certification is a preferred qualification for the successful candidate · The successful candidate must possess the following skills: o Proficient in the installation of solar components o Excellent sense of customer service o Ability to lead by example o Adaptability to change o Problem Solving capabilities o Strong verbal and written communication skills o High level of organizational skills and professionalism REQUIREMENTS: · Driving is an essential function of this position. The candidate must possess a free and clear license and driving record in their state of hire. · The candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Solar or Electrical field · The candidate must possess previous leadership experience COMPENSATION: · This is an hourly, non-exempt position. The starting base hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $28.00/hour and $35.00/hour. The exact starting rate will be determined based several factors, including but not limited to work location, experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
