POSITION SUMMARY:

Nassau Candy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our Livonia, MI distribution center. This individual will assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving productivity, ensuring inventory accuracy, and upholding safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a solid background in logistics, inventory control, and team supervision.

✅ QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of warehouse/logistics experience, with 1+ year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth understanding of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and safety procedures.
• Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment.

• Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Monitor team workflow and performance; implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Supervise warehouse personnel – scheduling, training, coaching, and performance support.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct cycle counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Work cross-functionally with logistics, procurement, and customer service for order fulfillment.
• Support warehouse layout planning and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Step in as acting manager when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable.
• ️‍ Investigate and help resolve operational issues; escalate when needed.
• Generate and analyze operational reports and KPIs to drive improvements.
