JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a proven Assistant Operations Manager who is passionate about customer service and last mile delivery. Our Assistant Operations Manager must have a proficient background in the last mile field, with the abilities to oversee all delivery activity for a fast-growing company. The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with the senior leadership team and report directly to the Operations Manager. We are an energetic company looking for a passionate individual to join our team.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
· 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in the Last Mile, independent carrier business model
· Experience with Microsoft Office and proficient in Excel
· Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
· Lean, Six Sigma and Constant Process Improvement knowledge and experience
· Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
· Solid understanding maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments
· Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
· Entails standing, sitting or walking for lengthy periods of time
· Ability to work and perform in office and warehouse environments
