Overview: The Assistant Package Designer will support the daily activities of the packaging department to ensure accurate and timely production of packaging materials. Key Accountabilities: Assist in market research to support trend finds and new concepts Understand and support the print production process from start to finish Help to update artwork, copy, and corresponding files according to both written and verbal feedback across stakeholders Assist in troubleshooting and communicating issues pertaining to vendor approvals and/or production changes Update art and production files Help to send out standards and new developments to suppliers for review and pricing Track and update the packaging sample schedule to ensure deadlines are being met Help to update and maintain development tracking charts, packaging brief submits and quality standards library Communicate submit (sample & production) comments between the Packaging team and appropriate cross-functional teams Meet all deadlines in adherence to the seasonal design calendar Special projects as assigned Requirements Required Skills/Abilities/Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field Experience or internship in the fashion industry (children’s wear knowledge a plus) Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Adobe Illustrator Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail Work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Illustration skills a plus Consistent in-office presence is vital to the role as it is for all Haddad Brands team members, so that we all have a full appreciation, aesthetically and tactilely, of the qualities that define our brand partners’ products and set them apart from their competitors.
