Job Description Grow your career and take the next step as an Assistant Park Manager This role will appeal to locals as staff accommodation is not available What you will do: As the Assistant Park Manager, you will report to and assist the Park Managers to manage a seamless Park operation through the provision of consistent high standards in product, guest services and a wide range of interpretative activities. Although a mid-size Park, Port Arthur has a small but efficient Team, you will be hands-on in all areas helping in housekeeping, front office or grounds as required. You will also: Provide a versatile and hands-on approach to supporting your teams to ensuring quality standards, effective communication and consistency across all areas of the parks operation Maintain leadership credibility in all areas of the park operation by exhibiting consistent high standards of personal ethics Assist in ensuring teams are resourced accordingly and participating in recruitment activity as needed Ensure that all employees receive a thorough park and department induction and sufficient on the job training Liaise with the Park Manager regarding significant maintenance issues, repairs and additional projects Monitor and maintain a high standard of safety of all guests, visitors and employees This is a rewarding and challenging experience for the right person - no one day will be the same. This role will share in taking any after-hours calls and provide support when required. What you will bring: Our ideal candidate will have relevant hotel/resort/park management experience where initiative, organisational and advance planning skills are essential. You will be able to demonstrate experience in overseeing teams and the ability to understand and interpret awards and certified agreements. We welcome individuals that are innovative and have a customer and commercial focused mindset. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and a confidence in understanding rostering and property management systems (Newbook experience a bonus!). You will demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and the passion to work as part of an operational team who are hands on, confident and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest relations.
