As the Assistant Pastry Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our pastry team, working closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to deliver world-class desserts and baked goods.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in hotel or fine dining restaurant environments.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • A degree in Culinary Arts or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Strong knowledge of bread-making and classic baking techniques.
  • Experience working with chocolate, including techniques such as tempering, molding, and creating chocolate-based desserts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • A positive, energetic, and motivated team player with a commitment to delivering premium quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
  • Mentoring and educating the pastry team, fostering growth and skill development.
  • Designing and executing innovative, elevated desserts, pastries, and breads.
  • Demonstrating expertise in chocolate work, bread-making, and classic baking techniques and procedures.
  • Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and ensuring all equipment is kept in optimal condition.
  • Leading by example to inspire and motivate the team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Managing inventory and costs effectively, optimizing resources to maintain quality and profitability.
  • Contributing to menu development with creativity and attention to detail.
