QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pastry or Bakery, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
  • Solid knowledge of baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times.
  • Proactive and highly organized.
  • Ability to manage a substantial workload effectively.
  • Works independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Able to complete tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Accurately monitor and control wastage.
  • Flexible schedule availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays).

Responsibilities
  • Bake and prepare pastry items according to specifications and recipes.
  • Monitor product wastage and complete assigned tasks across multiple stations within deadlines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the immediate work area at all times.
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations outlined in the food safety management system.
  • Report any food safety-related concerns to the manager or hygiene/food safety team.
  • Ensure adequate supply levels at the cooking stations.
  • Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.
  • Follow the direction of the Pastry Chef and Executive Chef.
  • Foster a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Support in staff training and perform additional duties as assigned.
