Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Jordan and inspired by Wong Kar Wai’s 1990s Hong Kong films, Eaton Hong Kong is a dynamic and inclusive cultural hub and sanctuary for hotel guests and Hong Kongers interested in art and culture, music, community, food and beverage, and more.   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist Pastry Chef in the management of the hotel’s Pastry Kitchen and in his absence assume total responsibility * Foster and monitor an innovative workplace where innovation and creativity takes the lead * Assist the Pastry Chef in ensuring Food Safety Management standards are implemented in the kitchen and follow the appropriate hygiene standards * Has a working knowledge of all sections/specialties within the Pastry Kitchen and be able to step in / fix / troubleshoot / provide constructive feedback when required * Monitor food production and maintain a high standard of food quality in all concerned departments, including but not limited to: The Astor, Banquet Operations, In-room amenities, Restaurant display, etc. * Keep aware of food trends, systems, practices and regularly contribute new ideas and new menu items * Lead a team to maintain a positive work environment, build team spirit and encourage effective communication; Maintain positive interactions and good working relationships between colleagues, other departments and guests * Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to HACCP guidelines and health regulations * Assist Pastry Chef in arranging work schedules and organize work in the kitchen; Assign specific duties to all team members under supervision * Identify training opportunities and seek to develop and improve team members’ skills  * Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by superior or Hotel Management   KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE * Minimum 6 years of solid experience in international hotels, reputable restaurants and/or high quality pastry production * Qualification in professional pastry production * Passionate about F&B, motivated and love what you do * A desire to create and introduce new ideas * Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; A good team player and role model  * Able to maintain a positive disposition  * Strong belief in kitchen hygiene and the ability to uphold food safety standards  * Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese   BENEFITS * 5-day work week * Discretionary bonus * Medical insurance * Dental insurance * Life insurance * Marriage leave, compassionate leave * Free duty meals * Staff discount on F&B and banquet * Complimentary overseas accommodation * Education allowance   Interested candidates please submit your application via or WhatsApp us on +852 9199 9088 for enquiries.
