OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and passionate Assistant Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a background in baking and pastry preparation, with a keen eye for detail and creativity. This role involves crafting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The Pastry Cook will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic baking skills & knowledge within the food industry; culinary school training is a plus.
  • Cake decorating, baking techniques, and food preparation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for handling ingredients.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of food production.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prior experience in catering or restaurant settings is desirable, but not necessary.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • A passion for creating delicious pastries and desserts that delight customers.

  • Assist with Catering function preparation.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
  • Delivering products to restaurants.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons about pastry offerings and accommodating special requests.
  • Uphold high standards of food handling practices throughout all stages of production.
  • Record keeping relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
