FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this role is to assist the Physiotherapist in delivering high-quality therapy and support to residents, focusing on improving their mobility and overall quality of life. Key responsibilities include conducting physical exercises, providing targeted massages and joint manipulation, educating patients on movement and exercise, and writing reports for medical professionals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors of Physiotherapy
• Current registration with AHPRA

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous experienced gained in a similar role; aged care experience highly regarded but not essential.
• Technologically Fluent
• Written Verbal and English Language (essential), Vietnamese language (desirable)

Maintain accurate records on resident’s assessments, treatment programs and progress ensuring communication is maintained where necessary with relevant staff
Educating patients about movement and exercise.
Writing reports for doctors and other medical specialists
Improving patient mobility and enhancing their quality of life by completing mobility assessments and care planning for residents as per policy
Liaise with other health care professionals, clients/resident’s families and outside agencies as required.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and modify it where appropriate in consultation with facility management.
Undertake pre-residential assessments of residents as requested.
