Description Job Summary Pacor is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to support the daily operations of our Bessemer City manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for supervising production employees, coordinating daily production activities, maintaining a safe workplace, and ensuring products are manufactured and shipped on time while meeting quality standards. The Assistant Plant Manager works closely with Production, Maintenance, Customer Service, and Human Resources to support efficient operations and continuous improvement. Essential Responsibilities Supervise daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals. Coordinate labor, equipment, and production schedules to meet customer requirements. Train, coach, and develop production associates. Monitor employee performance and provide timely feedback. Coordinate employee discipline with Human Resources and the Production Manager. Review and approve employee time and attendance. Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and ISO 9001 procedures. Lead daily safety meetings and support facility safety initiatives. Monitor production efficiencies and implement process improvements. Coordinate routine machine adjustments and work with Maintenance on equipment repairs. Support production planning, quality initiatives, and corrective actions. Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. Experience leading production employees in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience using ERP/MRP systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to read blueprints. Basic math skills. Ability to perform basic machine adjustments. Preferred Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience. ISO 9001 manufacturing experience. Experience with saw and sealing equipment. Associate degree or equivalent manufacturing experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the workday. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or without material handling equipment. Ability to work in both an office and manufacturing environment.
