QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven seafood processing industry experience (required).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in plant operations, production scheduling, or related management.
• In-depth knowledge of seafood safety standards and processing best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English required; Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese language skills are an asset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Plant Manager with seafood processing experience to play a key leadership role in our Vancouver facility. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity, working closely with the Plant Manager and production team to ensure operational efficiency, maintain high-quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Plant Manager and collaborate with the Production Manager to oversee daily plant operations.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules, balancing materials, workforce, and capacity.
• Optimize equipment and workforce utilization to maximize output and control costs.
• Collect and analyze production data to inform process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with quality and seafood safety regulations.
• Train, develop, and lead production staff to build a strong, motivated team.
• Oversee logistics of inbound and outbound seafood products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges to minimize downtime.
• Operate forklifts as needed in production and cold storage areas.
