We are looking for an exceptional ‘Right Hand Person’ who can lend their hand to absolutely anything for our family run poultry farm in West Berkshire.
You would be working directly with the Business Owners to drive the business forward and support a very dedicated team of people. This is a very hands-on position and involves playing a key role managing daily operations. We are looking for someone who wants responsibility and to be involved will all aspects of the business. Effectively to be a Right Person Person.
This position may suit somebody eager to further develop in the Poultry Industry or a very experienced individual. The most important things are enthusiasm, to be practical and have a forward thinking and problem solving approach to life, have a willingness to learn, to be totally reliable, to work hard and have a sense of humour! The farm is a multi aged Free Range laying farm. Additional eggs are brought in from nearby producers. Eggs are produced, graded and packed on the farm. The eggs are then sold to a local range of shops, local markets, the catering trade and food wholesalers.
The job will involve all aspects of hen husbandry, grading the eggs, picking and packing orders, delivering driving and sales. No day is the same!

There will be alternate weekend work.
The person must speak very good English, be smart to do deliveries and be able to lift heavy boxes.
