Boulder Veterinary Hospital, part of the Suveto network of hospitals and located in Boulder, CO is looking for an experienced full-time Assistant Practice Manager to join our Team!   About Boulder Veterinary Hospital:  We opened in 1941 with a mission to provide quality, compassionate, and progressive pet care in Boulder, CO and surrounding areas. Our veterinarians and staff understand the special role clients’ pets play in their families.     The Assistant Practice Manager is a primary contact for the Practice Manager and Medical Director. The Assistant Practice Manager supports the Practice Manager and assumes responsibility, leadership, and accountability for daily operations. Oversees the purchasing functions for the hospital ensuring that stock remains at a functional level while remaining profitable and overseeing the repair of damaged or disabled equipment used by the Practice. Full-Time (4-day work week) $28.00-$30.00 per hour   Essential Job Duties: * Leadership Responsibilities * Update and implement staff training protocols as needed * Support advancement training for assistants and technicians * Train new assistants and technicians during onboarding period * Participate in selection of new staff members * Participate in support staff check-ins, reviews, and discipline * Participate in weekly leadership meetings and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner * Maintain an atmosphere of personal and professional growth and support amongst employees * Support practice manager with other duties as requested. * Other duties may include: * Coordination of building and machine maintenance or repair * Payroll processing * Staff scheduling * Celebration planning (birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, tech week) * Purchasing snacks and meals for the hospital * Consistently uphold our core values and advocate for accomplishing our mission * Communicate clearly and with intention * Communicate with clientele about medications, treatments, anesthesia, etc. * Work closely with DVMs to formulate treatment plans * Effectively relay information from management to team members and vice versa   * Veterinary Technician Responsibilities *  Triage and effectively communicate priorities to team members * Assist with surgical procedures, including but not limited to: * Assist with the preparation, cleaning, and sterilizing of surgical areas and instruments * Maintain equipment required for anesthesia and dentistry * Induce and monitor anesthesia, patient intake and preparation for surgery * Dental prophylaxis * Patient recovery, discharge, and follow-up   Qualifications: * Minimum four years of veterinary experience * Veterinary Technician License is required * Competency with PIMS and reference laboratories * Minimum one year of leadership and training experience Benefits: Our employment package for full-time employees includes paid time off, paid holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, pet care discounts, 401K with a true match up to 4%.
