POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Assistant Press Operator, you will play a key support role in helping the press team operate efficiently and meet production quality standards. You’ll be responsible for preparing dies, supporting press operations, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a machine operator or press support role
• Experience in heavy manufacturing preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, noisy environments
• Strong English reading and writing skills
• Knowledge of health and safety best practices
• Experience in extrusion or similar manufacturing processes is an asset

• Assist the press operator with machine setup and ensure all materials are on hand
• Prepare and heat dies using die ovens according to the press schedule
• Use overhead lift assist systems to move dies safely
• Monitor press operations and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Meet daily production targets and quality standards
• Follow written work instructions to ensure part quality
• Support other areas of the line, including packing
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times
• Comply with all Occupational Health & Safety regulations and company policies
