The Opportunity (12 month Interim role to cover leave, commencing 2026)
Carey Baptist College Harrisdale is seeking a relational, purpose driven Assistant Principal – Curriculum to help lead our vibrant K to Year 6 Primary School. You’ll work closely with the Acting Principal and staff to maintain momentum in teaching and learning, foster a thriving school culture, and uphold Carey’s commitment to holistic Christ centered education.
You will lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of high impact curriculum programs across K to Year 6, ensuring alignment with Carey’s strategic vision and Christian ethos. You will work closely with teaching teams to embed evidence informed pedagogy, foster differentiated and inclusive practices, and promote innovation in learning through inquiry and digital technologies. A key part of your role will be to build staff capacity through professional learning, coaching, and collaborative planning, while using student data to inform teaching strategies and drive continuous improvement. You will contribute to whole school planning, assessment, and reporting frameworks, and actively engage with families and the wider community to support student learning and wellbeing. In partnership with the Acting Principal, you will help cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and Christ centred care throughout the school.
