This leader will play a vital role in cultivating a collaborative professional learning environment where educators learn with and from one another, take collective ownership of student success, and engage in shared leadership.

This mindset fosters a school community grounded in trust, excellence, and the belief that all members canand shouldthrive.Responsibilities: Promoting the success of all students by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and evaluation of teaching and learning that is shared and supported by the school and the community, reflective of the district and school strategic reform plans. Facilitate staff professional development by advancing and supporting continuous learning for all school community members reflective of the district and school strategic plans.Promote family and community involvement by responding to the community’s diverse social and linguistic needs. Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested to advance educational objectives and student success;Implement and observe all the district policies and regulations by the school’s staff and students.Participate in the screening, selection, assignment, formal evaluation, retention, and ongoing professional development of all school staff.Serve as a role model for students and staff by demonstrating integrity and fairness and developing a caring school community.Engage with diverse community groups to articulate the school’s vision and support all students’ success.Coordinate and supervise support services such as maintenance, security, food services, and financial and accounting functions.Maintain high standards of student behavior and discipline as necessary, according to students’ due process rights. Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body and deals with special cases through implementation and assistance in progress monitoring of restorative justice practices.Responsible for attendance, health, and behavior of students.
Supervise and/or support with the reporting and monitoring of all student attendance.Attend special events held to recognize student achievement and to attend school-sponsored activities and functions, which may happen after school, evenings, or weekends.Ensure the organization, operations, and resources are managed for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.Attend professional meetings, read professional journals and other publications, and discuss problems of mutual interest with others in the field to stay abreast of changes and developments in the profession.Certified/trained or willing to be certified/trained in Restorative Practices and RULER. Perform all other such duties as assigned by the principal.Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles, frameworks, outcomes, teaching strategies, assessment, effective professional development, shared decision-making, and community and parental involvement. Demonstrated ability to: Assess educational needs and plan and supervise educational programs to meet these needs.Engage with students and families to develop outcomes that address inappropriate behaviors while creating a supportive school climate.Work effectively in disadvantaged communities and among members of linguistic minorities.Coordinate, facilitate, and assess the work of staffUnderstand and interpret written procedures, policies, and lawsCommunicate effectively both orally and in writing to various audiences.Work collaboratively on a wide range of topics and issues
