Job Title: Assistant Procurement Coordinator
Location: Palm Harbor, FL
Job Type: Full-time, In-Office
Reports to: Procurement Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Procurement Coordinator supports the procurement and logistics activities essential to construction project success. This role works closely with the Procurement Coordinator to source materials, manage supplier relationships, track deliveries and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of construction equipment, tools and supplies. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset in supporting field teams and office operations

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Construction Management preferred
· 1+ year of experience in procurement, construction administration, logistics or related field preferred
· Familiarity with construction materials, equipment and industry terminology a plus
· Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with procurement or inventory software a plus
· Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work as a team
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

· Research, evaluate and negotiate pricing of suppliers based on cost, quality and reliability to ensure best pricing and quality of materials
· Manage all aspects of equipment rental contracts including delivery/pick up, repairs/service calls, and confirming accurate rental dates, rates and any associated charges
· Track and confirm order status, shipments and deliveries
· Communicate with field teams and project managers to align purchasing activities with job site requirements and timelines
· Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
· Monitor inventory levels and notify the Procurement Coordinator of shortages or delays
· Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and vendor agreements
· Auditing of purchases and maintaining company credit card
· Ensure procurement activities follow company policies, safety standards and project budgets
· Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining vendor databases
· Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry and scheduling meetings
