WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES BE

  • Support development and implementation of Unilever procurement strategies and policies
  • Driver and deliver cost savings based on sourcing strategies and compliance management
  • Support the financial analysis of the portfolio, including price benchmarking and total cost analysis
  • To lead various KPIs (e.g. Savings, USQS, Contract Compliance, Payment Terms and etc)
  • To manage procurement complexity reduction and automation programs
  • Manage CM supplier relationships
  • To represent the Procurement Function with Collaborative Manufacturers on matters such as pricing negotiation, payment issues, new project innovations, transition/resilience projects
  • To manage/lead security of key materials through the development of contingency plans and alternative materials/suppliers, working with Procurement portfolio teams
  • To manage/lead the engagement with cross functional teams (i.e. Marketing, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain, Legal) to execute and resolve operational issues
  • Ensure supplier payments on time
  • Create/update contracts in the system and ensure they get signed by suppliers and internal approver
  • Scouting for new suppliers that are fit for purpose and in line with the Supply Chain strategy and growth ambition of home care
  • To manage internal Commodity Risk Management discussion/decision making

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain and at least 1 years of experience in FMCG.
  • University degree is essential, Master’s Degree Preferred.
  • Previous CM experience preferred.
  • Finance experience being a plus.

SKILLS

  • Strong analytical capabilities (incl. finance) & negotiation skills and “can do” mentality.
  • Experience on cross functional project management support/involvement.
  • Negotiation & communications skills, with ability to engage virtually with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ability in managing multiple stakeholders, projects, and deadlines.
  • Appetite for change and eagerness to collaborating with stakeholders to drive change & improvements in unchartered territory.
  • Experience and understanding of contract management and SAP systems.
  • Fluent communication and verbal/writing skills in English, another European language is a plus.
  • Excellent Excel/PowerPoint Slides.
  • Excellent in Presentation Skills.
  • Able to work in fast paced environment and manage timelines.
  • Digital and analytics knowledge.
  • Financial acumen for business cases and reporting. Experience with cost models.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

Assistant Procurement Manager HC CM is the owner of Collaborative Manufacturing portfolio and supplier relationship. The role is responsible for sourcing of Finished Products/Services meeting HC Europe Business Unit’s specified needs at most competitive commercial terms.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Provide the business with accurate price forecasting narrative for total CM Europe, which includes market conditions understanding, current and future price trends
  • Deliver savings and value through negotiations, tenders, understanding micro and macro environments, portfolio analysis (cost benchmarking and cost modelling) and cross functional collaboration
  • Prepare negotiation strategy and manage negotiations jointly with the Category SC teams
  • Coordinate and execute the CM workstream in SC optimization projects
  • Deliver on key financial targets such as gross margin improvement through savings and cash flow improvement by applying for example smart buying tools
  • Managing supplier relationships as first point of contact
  • Scouting for new suppliers that are fit for purpose and in line with the Supply Chain strategy
  • Contribute to the Team goals, by leading common areas on behalf of the team.
  • Build partnership with key suppliers and guarantee Supplier compliance (audits, specifications, general terms and conditions)
  • Support sustainability agenda
  • Develop contingency plans and alternatives to ensure supply security
  • Monitor overall performance of the supply network and ensure continuous improvement
    This role requires a drive for continuous improvement, through applied market knowledge, supplier development and external/internal stakeholder’s management as well as SC E2E understanding.
