The role Are you a technically savvy procurement specialist with a passion for sustainability and innovation? Then this role is tailored for you! We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team of ice-cream cabinets (freezers) procurement. This role is not just about purchasing; it’s about developing & delivering sustainable practices, driving innovation and finding opportunities to bring value to the category, keeping us leaders in this space. Reporting to the Global Portfolio Strategy Lead Ice-cream Cabinets and Selling Systems you will be part of a team of Procurement Specialists who manage our Cabinet portfolio globally., therefore being a team player is critical to the groups success. Apart from supplier relationship development & management, you will closely liase with R&D, regional and local CD teams and cabinets managers to understand and deliver the business requirements. Your primary function will be to drive category value through your negotiations, technical and analytical skills to move our ice cream cabinets towards the highest level of innovation, design and commercialisation, while ensuring equipment is timely delivered to all the countries under your portfolio. You will also be responsible for driving short- and long-term smart value chain optimisation projects with our suppliers and partners. Your skills and experience will be used to provide forecast and market insights to guide the business in achieving its procurement goals. What you'll be responsible for Develop and implement agreed regional sourcing strategies in relation to the ice-cream category to support both commercial, technical, innovation and sustainability requirements. Create and maintain a 3–year value chain detailing both regional and country specific projects and associated value. Provide product, service and supply chain expertise to the Ice-cream category members in the region to build relationships and member development, drive collaboration, increase participation and improve System effectiveness and efficiency. Build and enhance key internal stakeholder relationships in the region to increase System trust and effective collaboration to drive sustainable value. Build and enhance regional and global supplier relationships to secure alignment with the category strategies and build win-win collaboration to drive sustainable value. Project lead and execute sourcing initiatives at regional and global levels in line with the Unilever sourcing process with goals and metrics to secure agreed outcomes. Analyse regional and global industry trends, evolving technologies, innovations and developments to help protect continuity of supply and contribute to the System capability for exploiting competitive advantage opportunities. We're looking for someone who Education: Bachelor's / Masters degree preferred but not essential. Related Work Experience: 5 years previous experience in Industry procurement. Other Work Experience: Direct experience in aspects relating to Ice-cream, Beverage or similar industry activities would be a great advantage. Technical experience in the Refrigeration Industry products is an advantage. Fluent in English and Turkish. SKILLS REQUIRED Country / Business Unit Plans & Strategies: knowledge of information used and ability to evaluate those business plans and strategies to develop procurement strategies that enable delivery of those goals and objectives. Best Practices: knowledge of procurement, industry and business best practices to guide thought leadership and ensure effective procurement strategies. Includes the ability to recognise value creation opportunities within the supply chain. Value Chain and Total Cost of ownership: good knowledge of retail refrigeration equipment specifications and attributes, competitive positioning and unbundled cost components. Ability to deepdive into supplier’s value chain and find new opportunities, ability to use financial models, industry knowledge and customers’ requirements to formulate the best procurement decisions. Competitive Analysis: knowledge of sources of competitive analysis including supplier and industry data to build competitive intelligence, inform business planning and optimize decision-making. Includes the ability to create and analyse industry cost models to assess suppliers’ competitive capabilities. Marketing Innovation: ability to identify and develop innovative ideas to create proprietary advantages for the Company. Supplier Management: the ability to evaluate and ensure that supplier performance meets or exceeds defined performance standards and adheres to overall Company policies and procedures.
