We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Finance Office: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Performing day-to-day procurement activities in accordance with policies and procedures; Handling the entire procurement cycle ranging from specifications review, sourcing, compilation of tender documents, tender assessment, contract award to delivery of goods and services; Assisting in liaison with internal users and managing performance of suppliers; Assisting in preparation of reports and analysis; Assisting in handling insurance matters of the University; Assisting in maintaining the Fixed Asset Records for the University; and Performing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: At least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics. Diploma or above in Procurement or Supply Chain Management or related disciplines is highly preferred; At least 2 years’ relevant working experience in purchasing/procurement field. Experience gained in a school environment will be preferred but not essential; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, e.g. WORD, EXCEL, etc.; Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); Capable to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Strong ownership and responsibility to work independently and as a teamplayer; Good at negotiation to achieve a win-win situation with stakeholders; and Experience in oracle Finance system and e-tendering system will be an advantage.
