We’re looking for a motivated, food-loving individual to help lead the Produce Department at our Latoria Walk store. As an Assistant Produce Manager, you’ll work closely with the Produce Manager to maintain our high standards of freshness, presentation, and customer service while supporting and inspiring your team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Previous work in a grocery store or produce department is preferred
  • Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of fresh produce including seasonality, and quality
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Great customer service skills
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, evening and weekend availability
Responsibilities
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all produce meets Red Barn’s standards for freshness and appearance.
  • Merchandising: Build eye-catching displays that showcase our fruits, vegetables, and other produce items.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, ensure proper rotation, order new inventory, and minimize waste.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Keeping the produce department clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Supporting the Team: Assisting the Produce Manager in recruiting, training, and mentoring new staff.
  • Lead with Purpose: Work alongside the Produce Manager on decisions and department goals.
