Inspired Global Cuisine are a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Gorton, East Manchester. We are an ambitious company who have grown significantly over the last 2 years, now producing over 1million meals a week and have plans to continue to grow. Which includes a re-location to a brand new 369 thousand square foot site in Chadderton, Oldham, investing in new systems and expanding our operations in the next year.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Shift Production Manager, key responsibilities include:

  • Management of labour, materials, waste, health and safety, quality and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to agreed standards through your team.
  • Ensure knowledge and understanding of to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and be a role model in adherence to these
  • Driving performance and accountability in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) whilst utilising various operational and people-based systems to manage information
  • Deliver, operate and maintain all activities required to ensure food safety, quality, legality and integrity throughout all site production, storage and packaging operations, achieving this through your and your team’s work.
  • Have a strong focus on developing people through ensuring training compliance for each member of the team, support others with personal development and the ability to effectively manage a succession plan.
  • Confidently manage all people-related activities such as recruitment and employee relations matters.
  • Carry out and facilitate site visits within your area of responsibility that support and represent both the IGC and Customer brand effectively.
  • Own and lead the daily production meeting, reporting on area results and driving actions.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings with wider teams providing valuable contributions whilst identifying areas of improvement.
  • Lead, support and involve your team in relevant site wide initiatives and projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Demonstrable management experience, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Uses own initiative with good time management
  • Strong and confident leader
  • Proven track record of managing a team to deliver business targets

  • Able to implement and manage change
  • Good attention to detail and numbers

  • IT literate

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 2pm – 10pm
