POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Production Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Milan Box Corporation manufacturing facility, planning, coordinating, and directing processes that result in good products.
General Responsibilities:
· Plan, determine optimal utilization of manufacturing workers and equipment to meet manufacturing goals.
· Ensure that manufacturing stays on schedule.
· Train, evaluate manufacturing workers; monitor workers to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
· Help identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement, identify and utilize methods of making manufacturing process more efficient and effective (reduce waste)
· Track the movement of the products throughout the manufacturing processes.
· Participate in manufacturing meetings daily.
· Review the production report daily.
· Send the completed PO with work tickets to the front office for filing.
· Maintain the ISO 9001-2015 as an Auditor
· Follow MBC’S policies/procedures and report any violations to Human Resources.
· Coordinate semi-annual inventories.
· Ensure accuracy of production tickets.
· Approve setup of manufacturing equipment prior to production.
· Ensure adequate material available at machine.
· Oversee cull repair/non-conforming process.
· Maintain a clean and safe environment.
· Perform whatever job is necessary for Milan Box Corporation to be successful.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree / Military service is a plus
· Minimum of 3-5 years supervising, and manufacturing experience preferred
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Internet
· Strong communication skills
· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
· Knowledge of military standards and specifications
· ISO 9001:2015 experience
· Experience with lean Six Sigma or related programs is a plus
· Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically
