We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager which leads and manages production staff in the day to day performance of their jobs. Conduct/attend daily huddle meetings. Follow and enforce company safety polices and safe work practices at all times to ensure safety of self and others. Oversee subordinates to ensure shift goals and quality expectations are consistently achieved. Coordinate personnel schedules to ensure operational effectiveness. Ensure audit and material traceability procedures are being followed throughout the facility. Ensure that employee timecards are being reviewed and corrected daily. Work in a productive, safe, team-oriented manner with employees, and management. Review and develop recommendations to facility management to promote continual improvement of all processes. Maintain a clean and safe work area, maintain and wear all required personal protective safety equipment. Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping and stretching. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently. Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned. Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery such as a forklift. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant demands and shifting of priorities. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. Requires multitasking on many projects at once. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing. 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferably in motor vehicle body manufacturing or metal fabrication. Must be able to read and interpret internal documentation and drawings. Keen attention to detail is required. Basic computer skills are required. Excellent people/communication skills to deal with a variety of personalities. Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening. #STE
