Our Opportunity:                  Assistant Production Supervisor Status:                                   Full Time Night Shift  Hours:                                   12-hour shift – 5:45p-6a Schedule:                              2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!) Compensation:                     $25.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience                                                [Plus, a $2.00 night shift differential, if applicable] Summary  This position is responsible for overseeing the production team along with managing, directing, and implementing operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of company goals, while maintaining the highest level of quality and efficiency.   The candidate must be able to manage and work well with other managers.   What You Will Be Doing  * Assist Production Supervisor with daily plant operations. * Fill in for Production Supervisor when absent. * Assist Line Leads in set-up, changeover and troubleshooting/problem solving of machine issues. * Update and print changeover sheets used on spectrum/Contour changeovers. * Assist in AX facilitation. * Verify BOM’s and inventory in AX prior to start of production order. * Investigate and document any issues or abnormalities with AX system. * Facilitate and document all training for new hires, 30,60,90 day and annual reviews. * Track and update the yield loss tracker. * Review and sign off on daily quality forms. * Review and file daily downtime, waste tracking and completed LPN documents. * Print and assign weekly /monthly cleaning PM’s and record in MP2. * Attends and provides training on new processes and equipment.  This may include self study. * Acts as liaison for production processes for customer and vendor visits. * Assist in duties related to general plant operations. * Performs all other duties as assigned. * Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook. * Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.     What You Need to Bring Minimum Qualifications:  * High school diploma or equivalent * Ability to read and interpret in English. * Have a strong mechanical background and ability to troubleshoot * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records   Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems * Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations * Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals * 2-5 years’ experience in a high-speed Production environment * Previous lead/management experience   Job Setting  This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.  Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.   The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor. Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce.  We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.  Physical Requirements * Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 50lbs regularly.   * Extended standing on hard surfaces.   * Will work around noise, dust, variable temperatures and use of production chemicals * Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception * Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands, feel and reach with hands and arms.  * Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.  * Works in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors * Frequently exposed to working near mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.  What’s In It For You?
