POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Department of of Accounting, Finance, and Economics at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor (Academic Year) with the appointment starting in Fall 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must have experience in working with students from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
  • Qualified applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Accounting from a university accredited by AACSB. Consideration will also be given to those at the ABD stage from an AACSB-accredited institution, contingent upon completing Ph.D. requirements before the commencement of employment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in accounting information systems (AIS) and who have the ability to teach courses aligned with the CPA-ISC Discipline both at undergraduate and graduate levels. However, consideration will also be extended to candidates who are familiar with data analytics, and/or other relevant areas such as TCP and BAR within the CPA disciplines.
Responsibilities

Teaching duties may consist of day or evening classes. Teaching responsibilities may include both undergraduate and graduate courses, and likely include online courses. Additional responsibilities include publishing research papers in high-quality journals and perform service consistent with the mission of the University and the College of Business Administration and Public Policy. Publications in support of the mission is expected and required for tenure and promotion.
