Description Boyce Thompson Institute (BTI), an independent research institute affiliated with Cornell University, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek candidates pursuing highly innovative and interdisciplinary research in any area of plant science or other related fields with the potential to contribute to BTI’s mission to advance and communicate scientific discovery in plant biology to improve agriculture, protect the environment, and enhance human health. BTI is located on the Cornell campus in Ithaca, a culturally diverse and vibrant town in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. The successful candidate is expected to establish an outstanding extramurally funded research program, to develop connections with School of Integrative Plant Science at Cornell University (https://cals.cornell.edu/school-integrative-plant-science), and to participate in graduate training through an adjunct appointment within the School. Applicants should submit (1) a cover letter, (2) a detailed curriculum vitae including the names of three references, and (3) a statement of future research interests and vision (up to three pages, excluding literature citations).
