Description The physician will provide high-quality outpatient care for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, including non-operative management of common and chronic MSK conditions, evaluation and treatment of spine-related pain and degenerative spinal disorders, and management of sports-related injuries. Responsibilities also include performing outpatient procedures such as ultrasound-guided interventions and spinal injections as well as participating in regenerative medicine and other appropriate orthopaedic procedures. Qualifications include: · Graduate of an LCME accredited medical school. · Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine residency with fellowship training in Sports Medicine, Spine, or MSK Medicine. · Board certified or eligible in primary specialty and have excellent clinical skills. · Active medical and controlled substance licenses in the State of Georgia · Active DEA license Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities: · Training or experience in spine care, including degenerative spinal conditions. · Ability or interest in performing fluoroscopic or ultrasound-guided spinal injections. · Capability to manage non-surgical fractures · Ultrasound experience in musculoskeletal medicine · CAQ in Sports Medicine · Working knowledge of NCAA rules for collegiate injury care NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option.
