Description Department/Division/Specialty:Department of Medicine/Division of Cardiology/General Cardiology/Emory Heart & Vascular Proposed Academic AppointmentAssistant Professor Primary Role & FTE Percentage(s)Position: cFTE 1.0 Location with Associated FTE Primary site at Emory Saint Joseph Hospital (ESJH) Clinical Service Expectations and Administrative Role: Clinical duties with General Cardiology: • 9 clinical sessions per week with effort divided among:1. Outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative service at ESJH2. Interpretation of Echocardiograms and Cardiac CT and CTA3. One day of outreach clinic at a site TBD4. Full participation in the Cardiology on call rotation at ESJH • 1 session per week for administrative activities *Clinical duties are subject to change at the discretion of Emory Heart & Vascular Executive Director as dictated by operational and strategic needs of the service line. Teaching Expectations Note, in keeping with the School of Medicine Guidelines for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure, upon joining Emory you would be expected to participate in teaching, which may include occasional lectures, small group and bedside teaching, preceptorship, and mentorship. In addition, you will engage in other scholarly or academic activities. NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option.
