At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience a position as Assistant Professor in Environmental Biotechnology is open for appointment from 1 April 2025 or soon hereafter. The position is available for a period of 3 years. The workplace is Aalborg.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology or similar
• Excellent oral and written English language skills are a requirement.
• The applicant must be interested in working in an interdisciplinary research environment.
• Extensive expertise and experience with molecular methods, microbial communities, wastewater treatment, resource recovery and bioenergy production.

  At the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience(BIO), our high-level research spans from basic to applied within both natural sciences and engineering. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Appointment as an Assistant Professor presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD–level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment.
Appointment as an Assistant Professor cannot exceed a period of four years in total in a temporary position(appointment at Assistant Professor level cannot exceed a period of eight years in total in Denmark).
