McCormick Theological Seminary invites applications for a tenure track residential faculty position. We seek candidates who
· have earned a research doctorate in Bible, with a specialty in New Testament literature and broad capacity in the literature of Late Antiquity;
· can effectively engage a diverse community of students and scholars;
· show competency in contemporary scholarship based on historical and social methods as well as in minoritized and other ideological perspectives;
· are able to teach Biblical Greek;
· have the capacity to connect their scholarship to the formation of leaders and faith communities;
· share our commitment to theological education for transformation
· demonstrate the promise of excellence in scholarship and teaching;
· have a commitment to preparing people for leadership in ministry;
· are open to interdisciplinary teaching; and,
· have facility and experience with hybrid and/or online technology.
We encourage applications from multilingual scholars with the ability to teach graduate-level courses in Spanish or Korean.
